It's Ella's birthday tomorrow and I'm kind of kicking my former self for setting so many fun birthday precedents lol. New parents be forewarned - everything you do sets a precedent so go easy on yourself and DO LESS from the get go!
One of the bday traditions is to hang a new dress on her bed so it's the first thing she sees in the morning when she wakes up. When she was little it was SO fun - I would buy the cheapest, poufiest, sparkliest dress I could get my hands on.
This tradition has become infinitely more difficult as she's grown into some very particular fashionista sensibilities. Sequins just don't cut it anymore, and I'm thinking maybe the Bday dress will have to turn into a Bday accessory...?
