How We're Using Our October Pro Club Stickers

Reading is an adventure, and our October Pro Sticker Pack adds an exciting twist to your reading experience! In this blog post, we’ll show you how to create a stylish and functional reading annotation card that will help you keep track of your favorite parts in that book. Let’s dive in!

Materials You'll Need:

  • October Pro Sticker Pack
  • Postcard or blank card/bookmark
  • Highlighters
  • Pen

Step 1: Create a Highlight Key

Start by grabbing your postcard or card from the October Pro Sticker Pack.

  1. Identify Highlight Colors: Decide which colors of highlighters you’ll be using for your reading. Common choices include:

    • Yellow: Important ideas
    • Pink: Resources
    • Green: Good quotes
    • Blue: LOVED
  2. Add the Key: On the right-hand side of the postcard, where you would normally write an address, create a small box or list. Use your pen to write out the highlight key, indicating what each color means. Keep it clear and easy to read.

Step 3: Decorate with Stickers

Now it’s time to make your annotation card visually appealing!

  1. Select Stickers: Choose stickers from your Pro Sticker Pack that resonate with your reading theme. These can be books, quotes, or any other relevant designs.

  2. Apply the Stickers: Decorate your postcard with the stickers. You can place them around the highlight key, at the corners, or even along the bottom for a fun touch. Make sure to leave plenty of space for your annotations.

Step 4: Prepare for Annotations

The main purpose of your reading annotation card is to track your thoughts while reading.

  1. Leave Space: Ensure that the majority of the postcard is left blank for writing. You’ll want enough room to jot down your thoughts as you read.

  2. Write Key Details: As you read, note down the chapter, page, and/or paragraph numbers of the parts that resonate with you or that you’d like to remember. Use your pen to write these details clearly.

Step 5: Use Your Annotation Card

Your reading annotation card is now ready to go!

  1. Bookmark Functionality: Use your postcard as a bookmark. It will not only keep your place in the book but also serve as a handy reference for your thoughts and favorite passages.

  2. Highlighting: When you find something you want to highlight in your book, use the corresponding highlighter color and make a note on your annotation card about why it stood out to you.

Happy reading and annotating! 📚✨
